Memorial day for Peter Cousins
What a fantastic day was had by all remembering the Big Man, Cuz. Players from 20-70 filled two teams and more for a game of rugby that they will never forget.
The money raised, £1080, has been donated to the mini badgers rugby section and the Brockworth youth football section. Pete’s grandsons both play rugby/football.
A great day! We will remember you Cuz!!

New Season New Opportunities
The 2024-25 season is here a last.
After a difficult second year in a very tough Gloucestershire Premiership North league full of local Gloucester Team rivals Brockworth RFC managed a very creditable 9th place after suffering many injuries.
A strong performance by all team players, administrators and a strong & supporting committee.
We look forward to the challenges ahead this season.
Come and join a winning team on and off the field.
Major Signing for the Year
The 2024-25 season Brockworth RFC welcomes a new coaching team of Kurtis Herbert as Head Coach and Lee Fortey as the new forwards coach.
Kurt is a longstanding Brockworth RFC player with a very strong track record of bringing structure to the teams he has played for and leading from the front.
Lee, with a background as a Professional Rugby player and coach. During his playing career, Lee represented both Gloucester RFC and Worcester RFC. Since his retirement from professional rugby, he has coached for, and been involved with, numerous clubs and set-ups including; the Gibraltar National team, Dean Close School and local club, Longlevens RFC. In addition to his rugby background, Lee also holds additional qualifications in a variety of sports.
Kurt and Lee will be working closely with the Director of Rugby Dave Pointon.
Coaching plays a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success of Brockworth RFC. The coaching team seeks to power sustainable success and inspire developing and experienced players to achieve success with a hard and focused work ethic whilst also recognising the fun and camaraderie that comes through playing the sport of rugby.

Pre Season Report
Like every season before it all starts with a hard pre season training period through July and August, interspersed with a pre season fixture to test the progress and help build strong team structures and commitment.
Pre Season Result:-
Saturday 31st August - Pre season game against Old Cryptians RFC at Mill Lane. A close score didn't reflect the 3 durations of play with both teams dominating at times. Neither the less a good run-out to blow some of the cob-webs away!
